1. Information we collect
When you register an account we collect your email address, display name, and the role you select. When you create event, business, or job listings we store the content you submit. We also collect standard server access logs including IP addresses and browser information for security and performance purposes. Analytics and advertising partners described below may also collect device and usage data as described in their own policies.
2. How we use your information
We use your information to operate and improve the platform, send you transactional emails (account verification, event registration confirmations, listing status updates), measure how the site is used, show advertising on public pages, and respond to your support enquiries. We do not sell your personal data to third parties.
3. Cookies
We use cookies and similar technologies as follows:
- Essential session cookies — httpOnly cookies that keep you logged in. These are required for the platform to function and do not track you across third-party websites.
- Preference cookies — small first-party cookies that remember UI choices such as list or grid view.
- Analytics — Microsoft Clarity may set cookies or use similar technologies to understand how visitors use the site (for example page views and session recordings).
- Advertising — Google AdSense may set advertising and measurement cookies, including cookies used for personalised ads where permitted. These may be used to show relevant ads, limit how often you see an ad, and measure ad performance.
Where required (for example in the EEA, UK, and Switzerland), we use Google’s Privacy & messaging tools so you can consent to or manage personalised advertising before non-essential ad cookies are used for that purpose.
4. Data storage
Your data is stored on Cloudflare's infrastructure using D1 (SQLite) databases and R2 object storage. Cloudflare operates data centres globally. By using this platform you consent to your data being processed in accordance with Cloudflare's data processing terms. Third-party services listed below may process data in other locations under their own terms.
5. Your rights
You have the right to access, correct, or delete your personal data at any time. To exercise these rights please contact us at hello@chinaexpos.com. You may also delete your account from your account settings page. You can manage advertising preferences through Google’s Privacy & messaging prompts where shown, and via Google Ads Settings.
6. Third-party services
We use the following third-party services which may process your data:
- Cloudflare — infrastructure, CDN, and DDoS protection.
- MailChannels — transactional email delivery.
- Stripe — payment processing for featured listings and paid upgrades (when you use those features).
- Microsoft Clarity — site analytics and usage insights. See Microsoft’s Privacy Statement.
- Google AdSense — third-party advertising on public pages. Google and its partners may use cookies or similar technologies as described in How Google uses information from sites or apps that use our services.
Each service has its own privacy policy. We encourage you to review them.
7. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. We will notify registered users of material changes by email. Continued use of the platform after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
